Friday, March 4
9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, March 5
With Jan Stanley, Heidi Darrow, Barbara Hadley, LUT and Eric Page
It’s all about YOU!! Discover the power your own heart has to bring peace and compassion into your life.
This workshop will give you new ideas of how to listen to your heart and become your own best friend. It is experiential – you’ll gain practical (and scientifically proven!) skills to awaken to spiritual awareness on a daily basis and relate to yourself with empathy. Imagine how different life looks when you are able to be present to yourself – no matter what is going on in the world.
There will be videos, small group discussions, meditation time, and most of all, practice so that when you leave, you are ready to put these skills to work immediately.
The workshop is limited to 24 participants. Those who pre-register will receive materials prepared for them personally. Please bring your own lunch to the Saturday session. The entire workshop is being offered on a love offering basis.
This workshop is being presented by members of Unity Church of Overland Park’s Peace in Action Team, who have extensive training in different peacemaking skills. Heidi Darrow is the chair of the team, and serves as a prayer chaplain. Jan Stanley is trained in meditation skills and prayer. Barbara Hadley, LUT, and Eric Page are ministerial students at Unity Institute. All four of the facilitators attended the BePeace Training in Costa Rica in 2008 and have continued learning and practicing these skills.
