Lakota Sioux Spiritual Practices

With Randy Jones
Randy Jones will be teaching a three week class on Lakota Sioux Spiritual Practices. He has had the privilege to study under a Lakota Yuwipi man (a relative of Ben Black Elk) for many years. He will be using the book ‘Black Elk Speaks’, by John G. Neihardt, to explore many of the Lakota beliefs and spiritual practices. He will also explore the remarkable similarity between Lakota spiritual beliefs and Unity Metaphysics. It would be helpful, but not necessary, for participants to purchase and read this book prior to class. This class will have lecture, but the real emphasis will be on discussion. Randy Jones is a ministerial student at Unity Institute and will graduate and be ordained into ministry this June. He has had the privilege of studying under a Lakota Yuwipi man (a relative of Ben Black Elk) for many years. Randy and his wife Charlotte have made Unity Church of Overland Park their church home over the past few years while Randy completed his seminary studies.
Pilates / Yoga Fusion

This mind-body practice incorporates Joseph Pilates techniques of strengthening your core while lengthening and strengthening all muscles groups while emphasizing proper breathing technique. Internal Energy Practice Movement

This gentle class combines movements & postures of SunDo, Korean Yoga & Tai Chi and was designed by Joey Klein with the Institute of Transformational Studies. The practice improves balance between the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of one’s self; creating strong internal pathways through which one’s energy can move freely. Through simple poses and mild activity, the body’s energy system begins to flow more smoothly and powerfully. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Guided Meditation

Come experience an hour of guided meditation, offered by our team of meditations facilitators. Offered on the first Tuesday of the month, participants will experience various meditation methods and techniques as they are guided into a space of relaxation, peace, and oneness with God. Weekly Oneness Blessing Event

With the Unity Church of Overland Park Oneness Blessing Team
The Oneness Blessing, also referred to as Deeksha, is a non-denominational benediction that is a gift for all. It is currently being given every day to people all over the world; people of all nationalities, religions, and spiritual beliefs. The blessing is a direct transfer of intelligent sacred energy which causes the heart to open, quiets the chatter of the mind, opens doors to higher states of consciousness, and initiates a process of Awakening into Oneness.
For one hour each week, the Unity Church of Overland Park Oneness Blessing Team will offer a Oneness Blessing to all interested in receiving this powerful gift. All that is asked of the participant is to open to receiving the blessing while holding a personal intention for the process. The Blessing helps bring forth freedom from hurt, fear, disease, addiction and can also help in the manifestation of love, prosperity, employment, awakening and more.
Blessings are given based on a numbering system. Recipients are requested to arrive and be checked in for receipt of their Blessing no later than 6:45 p.m.

Oneness Blessing: An Introduction and Overview

In preparation for introducing the Oneness Blessing to Unity Church of Overland Park, we are offering an introductory evening for all who may be interested in learning more about this transformational blessing. Come join with UCOP congregants Dion Koch and Genevieve Normand as they offer an overview of the Oneness Blessing. During this informational evening, participants will obtain:
- In-depth information about the Oneness Movement and Oneness Blessing
- Experience an opening and clearing of the Chakras
- Information on what it means to be a Oneness Blessing Giver
- Materials outlining the Oneness Blessing community and events

Dion Koch has been a certified Oneness Blessing Giver since July 2010. In December 2010, she traveled to Chennai, India to receive her training and certification as a Oneness Blessing Trainer.
