Sacred Circle Dance
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 7
With Janalea Hoffman
From the beginning of time, sacred movement, song and story have brought people together – at times of seasonal ceremony and celebration, as part of everyday life and life passages, in daily renewal and mediation, and more. As in these timeless mystic traditions, the Dances use simple music, lyrics, and movements to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required and everyone is welcome to join in. No special attire is necessary, although comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best.
This class is great for caregivers or anyone needing renewal. Reviews have said, 'This is a unique form of mild exercise, meditation, and de-stressing all wrapped into one!' and 'Sacred Dance is a combination between church and a really great party!' The experience is designed to integrate body, mind, and spirit, and to allow the participants to go deeper within themselves for spiritual renewal or inner problem-solving. Love offering.
Music, with all its therapeutic properties, has been Janalea Hoffman's life mission for the past 30 years. She takes her music to hospital rooms to play with other musicians at patients' bedsides. For the last three years, Janalea has also presented over 30 'healing concerts' at medical centers, churches and various public venues – for cancer patients, medical personnel, and the general public.
