Faith-Based Social Justice Advocacy in Kansas

The country is currently facing critical challenges in many areas, including social justice, economic justice and protection of the environment. Rabbi Rieber will provide a hands-on action guide of what citizens can do to make their opinions known and take effective action on these issues. Rabbi Rieber is Executive Director of “Kansas Interfaith Action,” a non-profit, multi-faith issue advocacy organization advancing public policies in keeping with the values of our various faith traditions.
Rabbi Moti Rieber has served as Executive Director of Kansas Interfaith Action and its predecessor organization, Kansas Interfaith Power & Light, since March 2011. A native of New Jersey, he has lived in Kansas since 2007. He is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. A life-long activist on peace, social justice and environmental issues, Reb Moti brings a variety of pulpit, interfaith and organizational experience to the work of Kansas Interfaith Action. Reb Moti and his wife, Suzy, live with their three teenage children in Overland Park.
