Reverend Patricia T. Bass

Biography

Reverend Patricia Bass joined Unity Church of Overland Park (UCOP) as Senior Minister late in 2004. UCOP is a vibrant seven-day-a-week ministry, blessed with an average Sunday attendance of 700 adults and 120 children, as well as hundreds more who attend weekly classes, programs and groups.

Before joining UCOP, Patricia was the Senior Associate Minister for Unity of Christianity in Houston, Texas, one of the largest Unity churches in the world. In her 11 years there she served in a number of capacities, including managing the Youth Ministry staff, recruiting and training hundreds of volunteers, and directing a building program that raised more than $6 million to erect a new sanctuary.

Patricia was ordained a Unity Minister in 1998 after receiving an honors scholarship for her ministerial consciousness. She holds a M.A. in Interpersonal Communication, a B.A. in Journalism and a B.S.with highest honors in Speech Communication.

Prior to becoming a minister, Patricia worked in the banking industry, managing a statewide network of 65 banks. Her responsibilities covered such areas as marketing, training, customer service and account growth. She managed a staff of more than 300 and a multi-million dollar budget.

Patricia is a member of the Advisory Council for the Association of Global New thought and a member of the Prosperity Team for the Association of Unity Churches International. She previously served as an adjunct faculty member of Unity’s Ministerial Education Program and as member of the Vision Design Team (formerly the Healing Initiative Design Team) which supported the leadership of our Unity movement in a variety of capacities.

Patricia brings to UCOP a unique blend of management expertise, exceptional speaking skills, strong interpersonal sensitivity and a deep and committed spiritual consciousness. In partnership with this committed and prayer-centered community, her personal vision is to inspire, empower and equip others to transform our world.

Patricia and husband Brian have two grown daughters and live in Olathe.
