“Creating Peace in our World”
February 3rd: Children will learn about the life of Martin Luther King Jr, and what he did to help create peace in our world through non-violence.
What is the Season for Nonviolence? (AKA Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence)
The objective each year has been to create an awareness of nonviolent principles and practice as a powerful way to heal, transform and empower our lives and communities. Through an educational and community action campaign, the Association for New Thought recognized those who are using nonviolence to build a community that honors the dignity and worth of every human being.

We have some good news! We approached Cleveland Chiropractic College about the possibility of extending meeting there into the 1st quarter of 2019 and they told us they were able to accommodate us through February! Yay! We see this a big win for all. It allows us the opportunity to continue meeting where we are comfortable for two more months, and financially it helps also, as they have given us a very good deal! And, it gives us a few more months to continue our searches.
Your Board of Directors and UCOP Staff are so incredibly excited about the movement being experienced within our church community. We have officially welcomed Rev. David Mosher as our Interim Senior Minister, and he will be with us part time (the first 2 weeks of the month) until sometime in late September or October, when he is completely finished with his interim ministry in Springfield, IL.
The 2018 candidates for the UCOP Board of Directors has been announced. Here are the candidate profiles/statements.
