Teresa More is the mother of two girls. She has been teaching piano for over 20 years and has spent the past 10 years developing a preschool music program. Teresa has a degree in Psychology and approaches teaching a little differently than most teachers. She believes in nourishing and developing both sides of the brain, the left (analytical) and the right (creative) to meet the needs of the “whole child.” Every child is unique and different and Teresa strives to relate to each child in a way that they understand.
"Born to Groove" ages 2-3 (30 minute session/ once a week for 4 weeks)
Explore the world of music using keyboards and rhythm instruments in this fun introductory class! With a caregiver your child will play and participate in games designed to teach the basics of music.
"Born to Learn" ages 3-4 (45 minute session / once a week for 4 weeks)
With a caregiver, children are exposed to the beginnings of music. They will learn to read notes using animal shapes and learn how to play piano using colors. Your child will get hands on experience with a variety of other instruments as well. We will work on learning notes, developing social skills, physical dexterity and a sense of rhythm.
"Born to Play"  ageas 4-5 (45 minute session / once a week for 4 weeks)
In this class, much attention is given to learning to read notes and play piano. Classmates will be exposed to rhythm through various percussion instruments and get hands on experience with instruments such as cellos, drums and horns. In addition they will begin learning how to record and write using Apple Garage Band software.
“My daughters started learning piano with Teresa when they were 4, they are now 6 & 7. Since my kids started at a very young age I knew it would take a very special person to keep them interested and progressing. My kids now love playing piano and they love their piano teacher. We are so happy that we found Teresa.” - K Danda
“We felt it was important for our 3 sons to learn about the basics of music, starting with piano. Even if music doesn’t become their hobby or occupation of choice, there are many benefits. This was in 2011. Now, all 3 boys, ranging from 8-18, play multiple instruments and are still enjoying the piano. The teenagers are in both jazz and marching band at school. I credit their interest and knowledge of music to Teresa.” - S Sanem
